SNT seems to be unique in it's integration with the university due to historical reasons. Some other universities have also shown interest in setting up something similar. Universities already have smart people and good infrastructure, so it should really be possible to create more similar initiatives.

Barriers seem to mostly be around funding for servers, and infrastructure (colocation).

Some universities already have a 'computer club', which is a low entry-barrier option, but funding is usually problematic for anything big.

We have had some interest from the TU Delft, mostly from students.
